Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a friendly and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our store pharmacy team in Canada. You will handle prescription data entry, patient interactions, and various support tasks to ensure accurate dispensing and top-quality service.

The role includes compounding, pill pack assembly, inventory management, and assisting with clinical services scheduling to support patient care. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma preferred from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly - data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements).
• BTC management.
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
