Lawtons Pharmacy in Nova Scotia is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our community-focused team. You will assist with prescription assembly, data entry, and customer service, and support compounding and stock management.

The ideal candidate has a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, prior pharmacy experience is an asset, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly - data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions and replenishing supplies
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews)
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stock
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML's, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
