Job summary

Lawtons in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking a friendly, detail-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. You will support prescription assembly, data entry, and patient transactions while helping maintain stock and clinical workflows.

Prior pharmacy experience is an asset, and candidates with a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma are preferred. You will work in a fast-paced setting, adhering to company standards and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stock, manuals, etc.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

What you bring to the table:
