Sobeys is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our community-focused team. You will contribute to accurate prescription assembly, data entry, and processing of in-person and telephone refill requests while supporting patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prescriptions and enter data accurately
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Perform compounding and pill pack assembly as needed
• Maintain filing, supplies, and narcotic counts with accuracy
• Schedule professional clinical services and support BTC management
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and administrative duties

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
