Job summary

FreshCo is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable pharmacy assistant to join our team in Niagara Falls. You will assist with prescription processing, data entry, refills, and patient services while upholding company standards.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and relevant experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Training provided to support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma is preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews, health risk assessments).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
