Safeway Pharmacy in Burnaby is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support our patient-centered team in a busy community setting. You will handle prescription assembly, data entry, and front-line service while upholding quality care standards.

The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Pharmacy Assistant Diploma is preferred and prior pharmacy experience is an asset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble prescriptions and enter data accurately.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• File prescriptions, order and replenish supplies, and perform cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g., medication reviews, risk assessments).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stock, and documentation.
• Adhere to company standards and assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
