Safeway Liquor is seeking a friendly and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for data entry, prescription processing, and assisting with pharmacy operations to support patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have an Pharmacy Assistant Diploma or equivalent and previous pharmacy experience. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma or equivalent credential required or preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and prescriptions.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns, and related tasks.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
