Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist with pharmacy services. You will help with daily operations, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain exceptional customer service in a community setting.

You will work closely with the pharmacist, handle prescriptions, and assist with administrative tasks while upholding privacy and quality standards. This role offers training and a local ownership environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred for advancement.
• Effective organizational skills, ability to multi task.
• Problem solving skills, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries and set realistic wait times.
• Maintain and operate the cash register in the dispensary and ensure confidentiality.
• Receive new and repeat prescription orders; prepare and submit orders with exceptions.
• Data entry for new prescriptions, manage refill requests, and ensure accurate data in pharmacy systems.
