Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, assist in pharmacy operations, and deliver friendly service to customers.

You will help with data entry, prescription preparation, and coordination with the pharmacist to ensure timely, accurate care. Ideal candidates bring a High School Diploma and possibly a Pharmacy Assistant diploma, with prior pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Diploma from Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Good problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist and manage wait times.
• Handle cash register and maintain confidentiality in the dispensary.
• Receive, file, and process prescriptions and third‑party billing.
• Enter data into pharmacy systems and assist with prescription preparation.
