Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in delivering pharmacy services. You will help ensure timely, accurate preparation and distribution of medications while maintaining confidentiality and high customer care standards.

The role involves assisting the pharmacist with clinical inquiries, handling prescription processing, and supporting administration tasks to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Assistant certificate/diploma preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Effective organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and collect prescription information per standards.
• Process prescriptions and assist pharmacist with clinical inquiries as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy in dispensing and records.
• Assist in cash handling and store operations in the dispensary.
• Support pharmacy workflow including data entry and labeling.
