Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, assist in pharmacy services, and ensure efficient store operations while delivering excellent customer care.

In this role you will handle prescription data entry, assist pharmacists, and contribute to accuracy and compliance within the Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Previous pharmacy experience preferred; High School Diploma required.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Accurate data entry and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather prescription information according to standards.
• Assist pharmacist and participate in prescription preparation and workflow.
• Adjudicate third-party billing and manage related documentation.
• Answer phone calls and route to pharmacist when needed; maintain filing per SOPs.
• Maintain and control cash register in the dispensary and ensure confidentiality.
