Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and customer service within a busy pharmacy. You will help ensure accurate data entry, proper labeling, and efficient workflow under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The role emphasizes adherence to Pharmacy Standards of Practice, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail. Prior experience and a relevant course are preferred, with a focus on high-quality patient care and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Good problem solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and greet customers in a timely manner.
• Collect prescription information according to standards and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Assist in prescription processing and data entry per SOPs.
• Handle cash register and checkout duties in the dispensary.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy as required by pharmacy standards.
• Receive and process prescription orders and manage third‑party adjudication.
• Support pharmacists in coordinating callbacks and documentation.
• Assist with prescription preparation and labeling per company standards.
• Enter data accurately in pharmacy systems to maintain records.
