Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant for Market Mall Pharmacy in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. You will support pharmacists and technicians, assist customers, and help with prescription entry, labeling, and packaging.

Qualifications include completion of a pharmacy assistant program (preferred), strong communication, and the ability to work in a team. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred.
• Experience in a pharmacy is an asset; on-the-job training provided.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; thrives in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes occasionally.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care.

• Count, measure, and package medications accurately.
• Receive, stock, and rotate medications; support inventory audits.

• Support daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Market Mall Pharmacy in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred
• Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on-the-job training will be provided)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
