Job summary

Save-On-Foods Nanaimo is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to support day-to-day pharmacy operations, dispense medications, maximize clinical opportunities, and administer vaccinations at our Woodgrove location.

You will maintain inventory, ensure compliance, stay current on industry trends, offer private consultations, provide medication management and health screening, and join a community-focused team with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Canadian Pharmacist licence and be in good standing with the provincial college.
• Injection certification is required.
• Proficiency with Pharmacy Software solutions, preferably Kroll.
• Experience with Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) and required training.
• Ability to assess, plan and apply clinical knowledge when needed.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day pharmacy operations including dispensing, maximizing clinical opportunities, and administering vaccinations.
• Maintaining inventory within the pharmacy.
• Ensuring compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Remaining current on latest trends in the pharmacy industry by keeping up with new medications and clinical opportunities.
• Offering private consultations to our patients while maintaining a patient-centred care culture.
• Providing clinical services including medication management and health screening.

You have:

• A Canadian Pharmacist licence and are in good standing with the respective College of Pharmacists.
• Your injection certification.
• Proficiency with Pharmacy Software solutions, preferably Kroll.
• Experience with Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) and completed mandatory training when required.
• The ability to assess, plan and apply clinical knowledge when required.
• Additional training or certifications (considered an asset).

Compensation Details:

$57.00 - $60.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
