Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. seeks a dedicated Pharmacist to manage daily pharmacy operations, provide patient and provider consultations, and dispense medications in a compliant, privacy-conscious manner.

Role includes counseling on prescriptions and OTC products, adherence to regulatory standards, and collaboration with other health care professionals to ensure quality patient care with an expanded scope of services. On-site position in Toronto, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Plan, coordinate and delegate tasks and coach Pharmacy colleagues.
• Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example and support enterprise programs.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong professional relations and customer focus.

• Solid computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems.
• Health & Safety procedures compliance for a safe workplace.
• Complete mandatory training and continuing education as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to customers and health care providers.
• Dispense medications and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain privacy requirements and consent management.
• Counsel on prescriptions and OTC/behind the counter products.
• Practice to full extent of expanded scope with Professional Services.
• Be clearly identifiable to the public.
• Communicate with other health care professionals to ensure patient care.
• Maintain all records per legislation and standards.
