Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations on duty, provide consultations to customers and healthcare providers, and dispense medications while upholding full professional scope and standards.

The role emphasizes compliance with federal and provincial regulations, privacy, and collaborative care, with a focus on accurate dispensing and patient safety within a community pharmacy setting.

• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems.

• Complete mandatory training and voluntary continuing education workshops, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Counsel customers on prescriptions and OTC/behind the counter products.
• Practice within federal/provincial regulatory requirements.
• Ensure privacy requirements are met including consent management.
• Dispense medications and ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
• Communicate with other health care professionals within the circle of care.
• Maintain records required by legislation, standards and policy.
• Oversee dispensary workflow and inventory management.
• Ensure a professional image of the Pharmacy and health services.
