Job summary

CareRx is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Regina team. Under the Pharmacy Manager, you will ensure accurate dispensing and high-quality patient care, including palliative care and coordinating with our delivery team.

You will work on site at the Regina Pharmacy, with a flexible schedule and a focus on collaboration, professional growth, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Saskatchewan.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to dispense prescriptions accurately and safely.
• Verify safe and appropriate medication administration and provide patient care.
• Respond to palliative care prescriptions and coordinate with the delivery team.
• Communicate with resident care teams while adhering to corporate policies.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and documentation of recommendations.
• Support training for new and existing staff when required.

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacist to join our Regina team. Under the general direction of the designated Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Pharmacist responds to a variety of scenarios including, but not limited to: verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
• Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
• Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
• Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
• Communicate with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies ensuring the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
• Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
• Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
• Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Assists in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
• Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

• Currently licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Saskatchewan
• Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
• Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
• Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
• Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
• Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
• Must demonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment.
• Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.
• Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Compensation Range: Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location: This role will be on site at our Regina Pharmacy at 1148 Dorothy Street

Work Shifts: Part Time, 1-2 days a week, On Call rotation
