Save-On-Foods in Calgary, AB, is hiring a Pharmacist for a temporary role of approximately 18 months at the Trans Canada location. The position focuses on patient-centred care, vaccinations, clinical services, and community health initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Canadian Pharmacist licence in good standing, injection certification, and experience with pharmacy software (Kroll). Knowledge of OAT and related training is a plus, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Canadian Pharmacist licence in good standing with College of Pharmacists.
• Injection certification.
• Experience with Pharmacy Software, preferably Kroll.
• Experience with Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) and mandatory training compliance.
• Ability to assess, plan and apply clinical knowledge when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations including dispensing and vaccinations.
• Maintain inventory within the pharmacy.
• Ensure compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations, policies and procedures.
• Stay current on pharmacy trends and medications for clinical opportunities.
• Offer private consultations with a patient-centred care approach.
• Provide clinical services including medication management and health screening.

• Managing day-to-day pharmacy operations including dispensing, maximizing clinical opportunities, and administering vaccinations.
• Maintaining inventory within the pharmacy.
• Ensuring compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Remaining current on latest trends in the pharmacy industry by keeping up with new medications and clinical opportunities.
• Offering private consultations to our patients while maintaining a patient-centred care culture.
• Providing clinical services including medication management and health screening.

What we are looking for

• A Canadian Pharmacist licence and are in good standing with the respective College of Pharmacists.
• Your injection certification.
• Proficiency with Pharmacy Software solutions, preferably Kroll.
• Experience with Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) and completed mandatory training when required.
• The ability to assess, plan and apply clinical knowledge when required.
• Additional training or certifications (considered an asset).
