Job summary

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries, Inc. in Brampton is seeking a Technician II to maintain supply to packaging lines and support filling and packaging operations. You will perform setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, calibration and routine preventative maintenance.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years in manufacturing/packaging, with preference for pharmaceutical experience. Strong English, ability to read work orders, operate SAP/MES, and work safely in a GMP environment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment.
Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Experience with filling, cartoning, pumps and motorized material handling equipment preferred.
Packaging changeover and set-up experience required.
Able to perform basic arithmetic and interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical setup, calibration, and adjustment of automated filling systems during product changeovers.
Replace and maintain mechanical components including O-rings, valves, pumps, and nozzle assemblies.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in packaging and filling equipment.
Set up and adjust process parameters via HMI for automated filling and packaging.
Coordinate line start-up documentation and assist with training of new hires.
Supply filling lines with components and bulk product; ensure proper line changes.
