Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. is seeking a hands-on technician to clean and sanitize packaging and compounding equipment, ensuring GMP standards are met. You will operate filling units, assist with line changeovers, and maintain documentation and sanitization logs.

Ideal candidates have a Grade 12 education, some pharmaceutical experience, and strong English communication. The role requires physical work, adherence to SOPs, and participation in audits and CAPA investigations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude; experience with packaging equipment and labelling, printers, and manual handling is preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, divide, calculate averages and percentages.
• Excellent English communication (verbal, reading, writing) with operations personnel.
• Strong interpersonal skills; capability to use SAP and MES is preferred.
• Knowledge of SOPs and cGMP compliance is preferred.
• WHMIS training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize equipment and product contact parts for filling and compounding equipment.
• Clean GMP areas according to SOPs and maintain sanitation supplies.
• Complete GMP documentation such as cleaning and sanitizing records and logs.
• Assist with staging components, raw materials, and equipment parts.
• Perform equipment setup, line changeovers, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Support line leadership to ensure smooth packaging operations and adherence to PWO.
• Train new hires and ensure contamination prevention in filling rooms.
• Participate in audits, CAPA investigations, and non-conformance investigations.
