Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. Brampton site seeks a skilled mechanical technician for pharmaceutical packaging lines.

You will perform setup, calibration, and changeovers on automated filling systems, replace worn components, and assist with preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills, GMP knowledge, and the ability to use SAP and MES interfaces are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years in manufacturing/packaging.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Experience with packaging changeover and setup.
• Forklift certification and WHMIS training preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMPs required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical setup, calibration, and adjustment of automated filling systems during product changeovers.
• Replace and maintain mechanical components including O-rings, valves, pumps, and nozzle assemblies.
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting for container closure, folding station, and tube holders.
• Change embossing/coding blocks for labels and cartons as needed.
• Changeover secondary packaging equipment and configure parts as required.
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Set-up, monitor and adjust fill weights for accurate operation.
• Assemble/disassemble equipment and perform line start-up activities.
• Configure process parameters through HMI interfaces for recipe management.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues using appropriate tools.
• Install, align, replace mechanical components and conduct routine inspections.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve complex problems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear and potential failures.
