Job summary

Pet Valu is hiring for a Keyholder in Wainwright, Alberta. The role supports store operations, assists customers, and helps keep the shop running smoothly with responsibilities ranging from cashiering to stock replenishment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in retail or customer service, is comfortable with a POS system, and can lift 50 lbs. Flexible scheduling includes evenings and weekends, with reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS systems.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store; a driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other paperwork.
• Stocking shelves and placing items in the sales area.
• General store maintenance (sweeping, dusting).
• Assist in unloading deliveries of pet food and supplies (up to 50 lbs).
• Open/close the store following procedures.
