Job summary

Pet Valu Athabasca is seeking a Keyholder to support daily store operations and deliver great customer service. You will handle cashier duties, assist with inventory, and help manage opening/closing procedures with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Bring at least 2 years in retail or customer service, know a POS system, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible scheduling and a friendly, team-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in retail or customer service.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking (up to 50 lbs.)
• Open and close the store while following procedures
• May assign daily goals and tasks when managers are not in the store
• Other duties and tasks as required
