Job summary

Pet Valu in Etobicoke, Ontario is seeking a Keyholder to support daily store operations and provide excellent customer service. You will handle cashier duties, assist with stock, and help maintain a clean, welcoming shopping environment for pets and their families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and community involvement with local shelters and pet charities, along with opportunities for growth and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• Working knowledge of POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cashier and customer sales.
• Preparing merchandise orders, banking and other miscellaneous paperwork.
• Placing small items (under 10 lbs) into stock in the sales area.
• Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions.
• Assist in unloading delivery vehicles and stocking items up to 50 lbs.
• Open and close the store following company procedures.
• May assign daily goals when managers are not in the store.
• Other duties as required.
