Position Summary: To administer the store people practices and processes in a timely and professional manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times. The Personnel Manager is a Cultural Champion within the Store, providing dedicated people support, informing on a broad range of administrative and compliance functions, and supporting the implementation and ongoing success of our Self Serve Enablement processes.
What you'll do:
- Act as a Cultural Champion in store to ensure all people celebrations and events are coordinated (e.g., WIR events, SIP celebrations, Cultural Awareness Events, Holiday Celebrations, Charity Committee). Ensure all communication boards are up-to-date with current people program information, benefits, and resources.
- Champion the "This is that place" initiative, Associate Promise initiatives, and recognition activities. Serve as a first point of contact for open door concerns and inform Associates about policies, practices, programs, benefits, and pay.
- Co-facilitate orientations and support the organization of Grass Roots and AES activities to ensure associates can attend meetings and complete surveys.
- Coordinate recruitment planning for key seasons with the management team, monitor headcount guidelines, and communicate benefits re-enrollment activities, directing associates to Walmart Benefits Centre for questions and support.
- Ensure associates enroll in Direct Deposit Paperless Pay on Orientation Day. Support management by monitoring attendance reports, complete "We Care Calls" for reported absences, and assist in calling associates to replace critical shifts as per management.
- Request ROE for associates on Leave of Absence and when loss of earnings begins.
- Assist associates with completing time clock edits, GTA processes, and self-serve tasks as needed.
- Review and monitor GTA exception reports to identify issues such as missed lunches, late punches, early departures, punching errors, or long shifts, and follow up accordingly. Ensure weekly schedules are printed, posted, and filed appropriately. Coordinate new associate training and ensure training completion for those changing jobs. Assist Store Manager with planning and enrolling management into required training programs.
- Train and oversee the daily activities of the Back-Up Personnel Associate.
Minimum Qualifications: Age - 16 or older.
