If you thrive in a goal-oriented environment and are excited to mentor fitness talent while promoting healthy active living, we encourage you to apply! **What will you do?** * Drive team performance and operational excellence by setting targets, managing key performance indicators (KPIs), and tracking client conversion and retention metrics * Recruit, train, mentor, and coach certified personal trainers to build a successful, high-performing fitness business * Oversee the client intake, assignment process, and lead generation initiatives to connect community members with the ideal personal trainer * Design, implement, and evaluate innovative personal training programs and services aligned with emerging trends in the fitness and wellness industry * Manage staff schedules, timesheets, program statistics, registration forms, and budget details to ensure smooth business operations * Maintain strong communication channels and build collaborative relationships with staff, facility leaders, and community partners * Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health & Safety standards, emergency procedures, and corporate policies across all training spaces * Other related duties as required Qualifications : * Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field * Minimum of 1 year of practical work experience in program delivery * Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification (such as CSEP-CPT/CEP, CSCS, CanFitPro PTS, FAB CPFT, or equivalent) **Assets:** * 5+ years of experience as a Personal Trainer * Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role * Proven track record in creating and delivering training seminars or continuing education courses * Multiple continuing education certifications in specialized fitness discipline **Skills required for success:** * Proven ability to build, grow, and sustain a business unit while attracting and retaining clientele * Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills to empower and motivate staff * Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills with the capacity to balance competing priorities * Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities to foster positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment * Proficiency in digital tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and recreation management software (e.g., Intelli/RAMS) * Alignment to our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies (https://bit.ly/4brRrXm) * Embracing a culture of equity, diversity, reconciliation and inclusion **Conditions of Employment:** * Full-time availability, including readiness to work weekends and holidays as operational needs require * Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton, and there may be a cost associated with this requirement * Applicants may be tested **Work Environment:** * **Note**: Due to the nature of this work, this position is not eligible for a hybrid work arrangement * The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time.
