Overview

We are seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide patient and family-centered care to inpatients in the Mississauga area. Are you someone we should meet?

• A valid driver’s license (G or G2), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
• Valid certification as a PSW, Internationally Trained Nurse, Healthcare Aide, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
• Current vulnerable sector check and clear background screening

New Ontario PSW graduates may be eligible for a $10,000 bonus

* Eligibility applies to graduates from approved PSW programs in Ontario (on or after April 1, 2024)

** Bonus payable after 6 and 12 months of employment, subject to HFO eligibility

Additional $10,000 relocation bonus

* Available when relocating to rural, remote, or northern areas and committing to 12 months of employment, payable at start and after 6 months

Role Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, household tasks, respite, medication, and special functions
• Promoting safety through proper body mechanics, transfer techniques, and home safety measures
• Providing cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients
• Preparing nutritious, varied meals and snacks, including special diets, adhering to food safety practices
