Responsibilities

1. Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, standards, and nursing practices.
2. Assist registered staff with diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
3. Complete documentation accurately and timely, adhering to policies and regulations.
4. Ensure holistic, quality resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Resident Bill of Rights.
5. Support resident meal service and restorative nursing activities.
6. Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
7. Follow legislation, best practices, policies, and procedures in care execution.
8. Participate in risk management, quality improvement, and safety meetings.
9. Mentor new staff/students and promote educational opportunities.
10. Adhere to health and safety procedures, including proper equipment use and PPE.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English, second language is an asset.
• Completion of a Ministry-approved PSW Training Program (min 640 hours) or be a student in Year 1 of RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy programs.
• Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
• Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
• Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid certificates.
• Meet health surveillance requirements and criminal record check.
