Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified Personal Support Worker program.
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide care per care plan, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Observe, document, and report changes in the child’s condition.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Support ambulation, transfers, and adaptive equipment use.
• Maintain child records and required documentation.
• Deliver cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support.
• Respond to concerns and alert supervisor as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment for child and family.
• Protect child safety and report incidents or accidents promptly.
• Collaborate with family for consistent care and routines.

Position

Personal Support Worker in Toronto, ON.

Schedule

• Saturday & Sunday, 14:00–19:00

Please note: If you cannot commit to the weekly schedule, we will not be able to accept your application.

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management
• Maintain child's records and required documentation
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report on changes in child's condition to guardian and WeeCare
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of child’s needs and maximize abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
• Respond to child/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child’s equipment and belongings
• Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child’s safety, incidents, and accidents
• Complete all other tasks as assigned

Requirements
