AgeCare in Canada seeks a dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide resident-centered care according to care plans and support a safe, homelike environment in our communities. You will contribute to monitoring residents’ needs, document care activities, and participate in ongoing training sessions.

The role emphasizes IPAC policy adherence, onboarding support for new staff, and a collaborative, inclusive team culture with opportunities for career growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of simple treatments and bedside care; basic sanitation and geriatric needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor care in accordance with the plan of care and report findings to supervisor.
• Document information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding of new staff.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
