Job summary

Carecor Health Services Ltd. is seeking dedicated Care Team Assistants to join hospitals in Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding areas. You will perform floor and observational care duties under nursing staff, with each assignment lasting a full 8–12 hour shift.

Qualifications

• CTA/CCA certificate or IEN enrolled in bridging program working toward RN/LPN licensure.
• Immunization proof for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis B and Covid-19.
• Proof of negative TB skin test in last year or negative chest x-ray in last 5 years.
• Current BCLS-HCP (Healthcare Provider) certification.
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor and observational patient care duties under nursing staff supervision.
• Support patient well-being and comfort during 8–12 hour shifts.

Under the direction of facility nursing staff, you will perform floor and observational care duties - helping to create an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift.

• Continuing Care Assistant (CTA), Care Team Assistant (CCA) certificate OR Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) currently enrolled in a bridging program and is in the process of attaining RN licensure or LPN licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis B and Covid-19
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
• Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider)
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
