About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver for an elderly woman in Wasaga Beach who values her independence but needs support with daily personal care. She's a warm, social person who enjoys talking about family and friends, has a love for nature and birds, and maintains an active faith life attending church regularly. She experiences weakness in her legs that makes walking challenging even with her walker, and bathing has become difficult to manage safely on her own. She has some hearing difficulties, so clear face-to-face communication is important. Her son is currently home during the day but will return to seasonal work in the spring.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on assistance with bathing and personal hygiene three times per week
• Support safe mobility and transfers using her walker
• Engage in friendly conversation and companionship during visits
• Ensure her comfort and dignity throughout all care activities
• Communicate clearly and patiently, accommodating her hearing needs

What We're Looking For:

• Female caregiver with experience in personal care and bathing assistance
• Strong communication skills with patience for hearing difficulties
• Ability to provide respectful, dignified care that preserves independence
• Comfortable with mobility support and transfer assistance
• Warm personality who enjoys building genuine connections with clients
• Reliable and consistent with scheduled visits

Schedule:

Three visits per week (flexible days - could be Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday), two hours per visit, arriving between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The family is flexible on specific days and times within this window to accommodate the right caregiver's availability. This is an ongoing position starting as soon as the right match is found.

The son is typically in and out of the house during visits, so the caregiver will have support nearby while building an independent relationship with the client. This is primarily a personal care role focused on hygiene assistance and companionship during the two-hour visits.
