Job summary

March of Dimes Canada is hiring two part-time Personal Care Attendants to support individuals in their own homes under the Supportive Housing Program. The positions are part-time and involve non-medical daily living assistance in line with individual service plans and MODC policies.

Starting wage is $18.88 per hour, with an additional $3.00 per hour temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients.

This Opportunity

We are currently looking to fill 2 Part Time- Personal Care Attendant roles known internally as Support Service Attendant for the Supportive Housing Program.

Starting wage is $18.88. This position is eligible for the $3.00 per hour temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients.

Duties include the following:
  • Assists consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:
  • Personal care
  • Lifts and Transfers
  • Rising/retiring
  • Bowel and bladder procedures
  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Other light housekeeping duties
  • Performs duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains consumer and staff health and safety.

March of Dimes Canada provides 24-hour attendant care to its clients. Support Services Attendants work a variety of shifts (i.e., weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that vary between locations.
