Job summary

Saint Elizabeth is hiring part-time evening Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for community care shifts in the Roseneath area. A valid PSW certificate or RN/RPN background, a driver’s license with access to a vehicle, and the ability to work evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW Certificate or RN/RPN required.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
• Immunization requirements (MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in community settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Travel between clients with mileage and time reimbursement.

Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to workeveningsand every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
