Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care in Canada is seeking certified Personal Support Workers to provide in-home care across Amherstburg, Harrow and surrounding areas. You will support patients with daily living activities and travel to residences.

This part-time role requires every other weekend availability, a valid PSW certificate, reliability, compassion, and the ability to travel to patient residences within the geographic area.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• Demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
• Reliable and flexible; able to travel within geographic area.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, peri-care, skin, hair, and oral care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks per care plan.
• Provide basic housekeeping and companionship to improve quality of life.

We are currently looking for certified Personal Support Workers to fill positions travelling throughout Amherstburg/Harrow and surrounding areas. Must be able to work every other weekend.

As an integral part of the home and community care team, you will support, encourage and provide independence for patients in their homes and community setting by assisting with activities of daily living.

What You’ll Do

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help your patients enjoy a better quality of life

What You Bring

• Applicants for this position must have a valid Personal Support Worker Certificate.

• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from patient’s residences within a geographical area
