Job summary

ParaMed is seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our home and community care team across Marathon, Manitouwadge, Geraldton, Longlac and surrounding areas. Part-time and full-time opportunities available with a $2,500 signing bonus for positions located in Marathon, Manitouwadge, Geraldton and Longlac.

You will assist patients with activities of daily living, prepare meals, provide companionship and help with light housekeeping, under the care plan.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate is required.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
• Reliability and flexibility in schedule and duties.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel to patient residences.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, and peri-care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan.
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help patients enjoy a better quality of life.

These are newly added part-time positions located in Marathon, Manitouwadge, Geraldton, Longlac, Terrace Bay, and Schreiber. A full-time position is located in Geraldton-Longlac.
