Your new role

Are you an organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with an existing personal injury skill set? We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join a dynamic team of legal professionals in our client's Toronto office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading law firm known for its expertise and commitment to excellence in personal injury law.

The primary function of your role will be:

  • Manage a high volume of client intake
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal staff.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court dates.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to assist in case preparation.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
