Job description

Our client is a fast-growing boutique firm based in North York. They are currently in expansion mode and are looking to add a Legal Assistant with at least 1 year experience in Personal Injury and Civil Litigation.

Your new role

In this role you will be handling all administrative duties, including email and calendar management, coordinating meetings, scanning and circulating mail, etc. Under professional legal supervision, preparing legal documents and correspondence according to precedents and/or instructions. Ensuring all physical and electronic filing is organized and up to date on a regular basis. Occasional transcribing digital dictation. Delegating tasks to, and coordinating with, other administrative departments. Providing backup coverage in the absence of other team members.

What you will need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 1 year of Personal Injury experience. Strong communication skills both written and verbal will be necessary to draft correspondence and legal documents, schedule meetings and communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other professionals.
