Job summary

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a Permanent Bus Driver in the Yorkton Area. This part-time, permanent position serves the Spr 5 route into Yorkton, based at the Yorkton Bus Garage.

The driver will ensure safe student transport and supervise students during transit, with duties defined by the transportation policy. Qualifications include a minimum Grade 10 education, a valid S endorsement, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 Education or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license with S endorsement.
• Clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, positive environments for students.
• Ensure student transportation is provided with due regard for safety.
• Provide supervision of students during transit and assist in supervision during boarding and unloading.
• Keep students on the bus until regular school supervision is provided.

The Duties Of a Bus Driver Are To

• Support safe, positive environments for students.
• Ensure student transportation is provided with due regard for safety.

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Desired Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 Education or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license with "S" endorsement.
• Clean drivers abstract.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
