Job summary

Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a Permanent Part Time Bus Driver serving the Yorkton area. This role supports safe, punctual student transportation and operates within the Spr 5 route to the Yorkton Bus Garage.

The successful candidate will hold a Grade 10 education, a valid S-endorsed driver’s license and a clean driving abstract. A criminal record check may be required prior to offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 Education or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with S endorsement.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, positive environments for students.
• Ensure student transportation is provided with safety.
• Provide supervision of students during transit and assist in supervision during boarding and unloading.
• Keep students on the bus until regular school supervision is provided.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Transportation Manager and those listed in Job Description – Transportation: Bus Driver.

The duties of a Bus Driver are to:

• Support safe, positive environments for students.
• Ensure student transportation is provided with due regard for safety.
• Provide supervision of students during transit and assist in supervision during boarding and unloading.
• Keep students on the bus until regular school supervision is provided.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Transportation Manager and those listed in Job Description – Transportation: Bus Driver.

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 10 Education or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license with "S" endorsement.
• Clean drivers abstract.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
