Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Grande Prairie is seeking a Manager for the Operating Room and Surgical Booking Services. You will provide operational leadership for perioperative services, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care and optimal use of OR resources.

Reporting to Surgical Services, you will guide scheduling, workforce planning, budget stewardship, and patient flow. Build strong partnerships with surgeons, clinicians, and leaders to advance access and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related health discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience within the last seven (7) years.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex clinical operations, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, quality improvement, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the Operating Room and Surgical Booking teams to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
• Optimize surgical access and capacity; align with organizational priorities and provincial performance expectations.
• Lead changes, foster partnerships with physicians, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams; promote continuous quality improvement.
