Job summary

Covenant Health in Edmonton seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician (LPN-ORT) to join the operating room team. You will provide holistic perioperative care and support to patients, working within the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

The role requires LPN registration in Alberta, BLS Level C, and the ability to lift 25 lbs while maintaining composure in a fast-paced OR environment. Regular part-time posting with 0.50 FTE offering shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) prior to start.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
• Graduate of a perioperative nursing program for LPNs.
• Lift 25lbs and stand for prolonged periods; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room per standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver safe patient care.
• Maintain electronic charting and documentation.
