Job summary

Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, part of Alberta Health Services, seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Surgical Services team for perioperative care in Endoscopy and Cataract Surgery. You will work with physicians, RNs and allied staff to provide safe, patient- and family-centered care.

You will practice to full scope, support patient education and recovery, and contribute to a positive surgical experience through teamwork and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for Endoscopy and Cataract Surgery patients.
