The program provides tuition coverage for BCIT Perinatal courses, wages during full-time study, and paid education days, with an 18-month service commitment after graduation. Eligible applicants must be BC-registered.

Qualifications

• Graduation with RN licensure (BCCNM).
• Post-graduate specialty course/program completion or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information, plan and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with families and care team to develop and modify care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care and delegate tasks per protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health care and discharge plans.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes.
