Fraser Health Authority is offering a sponsored Perinatal Nursing education opportunity through Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, BC for new graduates and experienced RNs.

Participants complete a 24-week BCIT Perinatal Program, including 12 weeks online and 12 weeks full-time training, with a commitment to work 18 months post-program. Benefits include vacation and pension support.

Qualifications

• RN with BC registration (BCCNM).
• Post-graduate specialty nursing courses completed or willing to enroll.
• BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan care with nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team on care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health care and self-care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals.
• Document assessments and interventions per Fraser Health standards.
