Job summary

The University of Calgary is seeking a Full-time Limited Term ERP System Administrator for approximately 24 months. The role focuses on system administration across PeopleSoft and middleware, reporting to the PeopleSoft Technical Application Architect.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline with 3–5 years in ERP environments.
• Experience administering Linux-based systems and virtualized infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of enterprise app architecture, web/app servers, deployment, and admin practices.
• Scripting or automation with shell, Perl, PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
• Relational databases and SQL experience, preferably Oracle.
• Familiarity with ITSM queues, incident management, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Administer PeopleSoft and middleware components across development, test, and production environments.
• Coordinate migrations, patches, and changes with teammates and vendors.
• Monitor systems, review logs, triage incidents, and perform testing
• Maintain runbooks, inventories, and automation scripts; share knowledge with team.
