The Information Technologies is currently seeking a Full-time Limited Term ERP System Administrator for approximately 24 months.
ERP Systems & Services supports the technical infrastructure for the University of Calgary's PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning systems, including Campus Solutions, Finance, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Learning Management, Interaction Hub, and related database and middleware services. This position reports to the PeopleSoft Technical Application Architect and has no direct reports.
The position is responsible for technical administration activities across PeopleSoft and its middleware components and works collaboratively with Technical Application Specialists, database administrators, application architects, developers, business analysts, security teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors. The work directly affects the reliability, security, recoverability, and timely delivery of ERP services used across the University.
Following onboarding, the incumbent works independently within established technical standards, procedures, and change controls. The role performs system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, code migrations, performance testing, and related support activities across development, test, and production environments, escalating complex or high-risk issues as required.
The position normally works 35 hours per week. Due to operational requirements, work outside regular hours is periodically required for releases, patching, maintenance, recovery activities, upgrades, and critical incident response. The work is deadline-driven and may involve periods of increased activity during project milestones, planned maintenance, release windows, or system outages.
