Job summary

Invest Ottawa is seeking a People & Culture Generalist - Operations to serve as the first line of contact for employees and managers on HR processes, policies, and benefits. The role covers HRIS records, onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration while coordinating with Finance for data integrity.

Work in collaboration with the Manager, People, Culture & Inclusion to sustain IO's Employer of Choice culture through accurate, compliant transactions and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR operations capacity.
• CHRP designation (or actively working toward) preferred.
• Experience with benefits admin and Finance communication protocols is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build effective, trust-based relationships with employees and leaders at all IO locations.
• Serve as first point of contact for employees and managers on HR questions and support.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for all new team members.
• Administer employee benefits programs end to end.
• Execute administrative components of offboarding including exit documentation.
