Job Description

If you’re a human resources coordinator with a few years of experience and seek a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly engaged team where your efforts are recognized, this role is for you.

SLR Consulting (Canada) is a team of over 600 professionals across 18 locations, delivering environmental and sustainability services through diverse disciplines to help clients address complex challenges. We are Making Sustainability Happen.

You will play a vital role supporting our Canadian People team, providing proactive support to employees across Canada, with a focus on onboarding, HRIS administration, recruitment, payroll, and benefits. Attention to detail, communication skills, technological aptitude, and flexibility are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate onboarding of new employees, including orientation and liaising with departments for setup
  • Prepare and maintain new employee files with proper documentation
  • Assist with daily HR operations, maintaining employee information, policies, and reports
  • Coordinate funding programs for eligible new hires
  • Conduct reference checks, schedule interviews, draft offers, and communicate with candidates
  • Serve as a contact for employee inquiries and direct as needed
  • Support benefits enrollment and changes
  • Assist with full-cycle payroll processing and reporting

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of provincial employment laws
  • Experience in HR administration and payroll
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS (Workday experience is a plus)
  • High confidentiality and responsiveness to sensitive inquiries
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and environmental services industry are assets
