At Autodesk, our People Consultants play a vital role in designing and delivering a five-star experience that empowers our people managers. As a People Consultant, you will provide expert coaching and facilitation in areas such as engagement, performance management, and resolving employee relations issues, all aligned with Autodesk's culture code and global behavior standards. You’ll partner actively with COEs in the design, deployment, and adoption of programs and initiatives.

In this role, you will build strong relationships, balance corporate and client needs, and bring your extensive HR expertise to a high-growth, global environment. You will collaborate effectively within a matrixed and cross-geo team environment.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of People Consulting for the Americas, and you will work fully remotely in Canada.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide manager coaching and handle employee relations, with a focus on performance management
  2. Deploy, drive adoption, and offer guidance on established HR programs and initiatives
  3. Interpret employee pulse survey insights and create action plans
  4. Offer consultation leveraging regional expertise in US, Canada, and Latin America employee practices, including complex labor and compliance, M&A diligence and integration, and new location setup or closures

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in a large company and/or BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  2. Strong HR generalist background (performance management, employee relations, compensation, M&A) with progressive HR experience in complex situations
  3. Advanced coaching experience with the ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for guiding and advising managers and employees on HR-related matters
  4. Extensive knowledge of HR matters and employment regulations across the United States, Canada, and Latin America
  5. Ability to travel 2-4 times per year

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting a global sales organization
  • Experience in the high-tech industry
  • Ability to support clients across multiple locations and time zones
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing in Spanish
  • Proven experience in establishing and building healthy working relationships and partnerships with clients, vendors, and peers in a matrix organization
  • Creative and analytical thinking skills, with the courage to spur innovation
  • Technical expertise, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and remote communications tools
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, ever-changing environment, with a passion for continuous improvement and a bias towards execution
  • Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to think both strategically and operationally about established and non-established programs and processes
  • Excellent influencing, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to assert an "unpopular" opinion when necessary
